Dear Ones in Christ,
We can say with
the Psalmist,
“For thou, Lord will bless the righteous;
with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield” Ps. 5:12.
The Lord has been
good to us and has done many great things during the months
of July and August.
ON THE ROAD
We spent almost
all our time in Indiana and Ohio presenting the ministry to
the brethren of like faith. As a result, five new churches plan
on supporting the work in Ghana on a monthly basis. In August
we continued to travel from state to state: New York, Virginia,
Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland. As a result of this traveling
and presentations the Lord has done some great things:
A church
in Ohio promised 1,000 Bibles.
A brother
we met in Warsaw, IN, helped Brother Josiah Mante, one of
the graduates of our Bible college and chairman of our Ghana
Mission, to get his hip replaced at the Good Samaritan Hospital
in Baltimore, MD, on Sept. 1, 2000.
The brethren
in Grace Baptist Church in Marion, NY, helped us obtain
over 200 desks for the college and high school. The Lord
used a trucking company to bring them down to Dillsburg,
PA, for us.
The foundation
that sponsored Pastor Mante’s surgery helped us with 15
wheel chairs.
Vehicles
- A mission group has given us a 1990 Jeep for the rural
evangelism ministry and a bus for the school. A brother
in Front Royal Bible Church donated a 1993 Toyota pickup.
We have
been given more than 10 computers for the ministry.
Choir
robes were donated for the Bible Baptist Church Choir.
SHIPMENT
We are planning
to ship all these provisions to Ghana on Sept. 25-26. We need
a total of $24,000. At present we have $7,000. We will need
$7,000 by the 25th of this month for the two containers to be
shipped and the remaining $10,000 before we leave on October
10th.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Pray for
the rest of the shipping funds.
Pray for
Brother Mante’s recovery.
Pray for
the new churches who promised to support the ministry on
a regular basis.
Pray for
the new director and offices of the Grace Baptist Mission-Ghana.
Here in the USA the address is: Grace Baptist Mission-Ghana,
40 Main Street, Walkersville, MD 21793
Pray for
our children back home and the ministry. The high school
and college will be reopening in the middle of September
and October respectively.
Pray for
safety on the road.
God bless you all
dear co-laborers of our Lord and Redeemer.
In His Grace for
His Glory,
Noah Quarshie
