Dear Ones
in Christ,
"Then Abraham
looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. So he
took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering on the altar
in place of his son. Abraham named the place "The LORD
Will Provide." This name has now become a proverb: "On
the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."
Genesis 22:13-14
JEHOVAH-JIREH, God
always provides adequate when the times come. God has blessed
us richly and He will do great things this year.
On December 30th
we fed about 75 needy people in the area. Our original plan
was to do the feeding before Christmas but it pleased God that
our container containing the rice would not arrive in time.
We took a special Offering to buy rice and fish and then asked
all the ladies in the church to bring whatever the Lord laid
on their heart. Please pray for the safe arrival of the container
for we have not yet received it.

We started structural
work on the school building project January 2nd. You can see
that the Lord has provided the funds for the concrete and steel
rods (the pillars) through your faithful donations. We continue
to keep track of your names to place them on the walls inside
the building.

After a short Christmas
break, we reopened the school for the new school year of 2002.
We are expecting more students, at least 50 for the high school
and 9 for the Institute.
The Lord has done
something special for us this past month. A document we have
been waiting for since last year for the School arrived in December.
It is a full recognition of our school by the Ghana Ministry
of Education, " great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
and His greatness is unsearchable" Ps.145:3.
Praise the Lord
for those who have sent the coin cards in and praise the Lord
for bringing us into 2002. Pray for us for the upcoming year
for God's wisdom and guidance in 2002.
And we pray that
the Lord may place on your hearts a reminder to return the coin
cards so that we may continue on with the high school building
project.

Our next goal is
to complete the frame structure of the building, concrete and
rods, and to feed our workers which will amount to $5,000.
Pray with us that
the Lord will provide the funds for slab work on the ground
floor and the first floor before the next academic year in September
when we expect new students, in the light of the fact that the
school is now fully recognized by the Ghana Ministry of Education.
We now have a new
website for the Mission. Please visit the site at www.gracebaptistmissionghana.org. We will continue to update it with the
current events at the mission.
Pray for the salvation
of more souls through our outreach ministries. Pray for the
pastoral training programme, we are getting more young men wanting
to be trained as pastors and missionaries. We still need a Principal
for the high school, be in prayer. We are also still in need
of a college for my daughter Deborah. Pray for wisdom and strength
for Laura, the Mission Secretary/Treasurer.
We had quite a number
of funerals in December and this January which include a cousin
and my 62 year old brother. The word was sown in these funerals
and we know the Lord has ministered to many. Thanks to all those
who sent us messages of condolence, God bless you.
Best wishes for
the year 2002 as we labour together for the King of Kings and
Lord of Lords.
Thanks again for
your part in the work of the Lord here in Ghana.
In His Grace For
His Glory,
Noah Quarshie (pastor)
