Dear
Ones in Christ,
Greetings
from Ghana in our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ's Name.
We praise
the Lord for the many brethren from
the States who were here to see what the Lord is doing
and to give us a helping hand. Our people are encouraged by
these visits.
Most of
our brethren who were here can also testify that they
have been blessed and have been able to better understand
the ministry here. As the apostle Paul put it, " But in
all things commending ourselves as the ministers of God, in
much patience, in afflictions" ( II Cor,6:4)
Now while
Paul's experiences as an apostle were unique, his words
reminds all of us that serving the Lord in any capacity
including a short term mission trip is not one big vacation.
It requires great care, effort and dedication.
It takes the highest commitment and utmost personal sacrifice.
Mrs. June Germain has been praying for the ministry here for
many years but when she came to Ghana this year she was overwhelmed,
she asked me how it all started, I shared it with her
and so she wrote a short history of my life. I will send
it upon a request, you can also see it in our web site or in
other related sites.
The group
that came in March were involved in preaching in
our churches, on the Radio, teaching in our school, and
relief ministry to the needy.
Below are
some pictures of the preaching and donation to the needy at
an Orthopidic Center.
School:
We are now
on Easter break, school will re-open on May 12th, pray for both
students and teachers. Thanks to all those who are
helping us take care of the orphans. Keep the good work up.We
will soon put their pictures in our website.
The building
project is going on slow but sure. We have completed the form
work on the second classroom, we will be doing the concrete
work from the first week of May. Pray with us for the Lord to
bring in the funds for the rest of the classrooms and the offices,
that will require $12,000.
We praise
the Lord for the all those that has been sending back
the Coin Cards and other donations towards the building, it
means so much for us.
Couple's
Retreat:
This past
Easter Monday, we organized retreat for the marriage couple.
It was a
real treat and blessing. The original four hour retreat end
up to be almost seven hours.
Topics include
, What is Marriage based on Genesis Chapter three. The responsibility
of Husband and Wife, and grace in marriage. The couples are calling
for more so pray with us as we plan to organize another one
in June.
The Quarshie's
children's Education:
Our children
have grown so fast, at times I fine it hard to believe my eyes.
Deborah
is nineteen heading to twenty. Enoch will be eighteen
next month and also taller than all of us. Deborah completed
her high school last year. We were hoping to get her a scholarship
but that door has not open yet, so we have an opening
in Pensacola Christian College.
The
current cost of her fee for the first trimester including her
travel is $6,200.
We have
received donation in the amount of $2,500. We still need $3,700.
The Grace
Baptist Mission has set up an Account for my children's Education,
if you would like to help you can send your donation to the
Mission office or direct to the School mark ,Deborah Quarshie's
fee.
Thank you
all for your love and burden for the ministry here in Ghana.
as someone said, "we
can never sacrifice too much for Him who sacrificed His all
for us"
God bless
you all.
In His Grace
For His Glory,
Noah Quarshie & Family.
