Dear
Ones in Christ,
Greetings again
to you all in our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ’s Name
We can say with
the Psalmist, "Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God,
thou art very great Thou art clothed with honor and majesty"
Ps 104:1
First Mission Group
from Indiana:
On May 26th
a mission team arrived from Indianapolis, Indiana.
They preached at
our school and the public schools, over 30 children accepted
the Lord.
On May 30th
we took an evangelistic and fact findings mission trip 500miles
to an old.
Slave market town
in the northern part of Ghana, called Salaga. After we got settled,
we were taking through the town to see the places where the
Slave Trade took place from the 1600’s to the 19900’s. We saw
the Slave Market, both houses, wells, cemetery etc. The heart
of man is deceitful and desperately wicked indeed. We then traveled
33miles to another Village where a young man by name Peter is
starting new churches with the help of five other young men.
On the arrival the chief of the village and his elders were
in his court yard with his elders. Waiting for us . He ordered
that all the people must be gathered, both adults and children.
After 30 minutes of singing, Pastor Michael from Emmanuel Missionary
Baptist preached. This was about 6:00 pm. I had a small Inverter
that operates with a car battery, but ten minutes into the preaching
one of the children out of excitement knocked it down, Pastor
Michael end up preaching with a flashlight. We left the village
about 7:30 pm and got back to Salaga.
On Sunday 31st
May, we went back to the village at 9:30 for Sunday school and
Worship service at the Chief’s court yard. OVERWHELMING CROWNED:
Within thirty minutes of our arrival there were more than 300.
People in the court yard, both adults and children. By the time
of the morning worship there were over 400 people, some of the
children came almost naked, they came with what they have. We
gave them some used clothing after the service. To hear God’s
Word. Over 40 children accepted the Lord as their Savoir and
12 adults at the end of the service.
URGENT NEEDS:
The chief who was
among the worshipers told us the sad state of the people.
The nearest clinic
or health post is 33 miles away, therefore if any of his people
are sick, they have to put the sick person on a bicycle because
the roads are in bad state for vehicles to use.
Women in labor also
have to be put on bicycle for a 33 miles trip to a clinic.
The chief is appealing
to all of us to help them with some form of medical help, i.e
health post, clinic or drug store. The situation is heart breaking
Their schools are also in very bad state, they need books for
grades one to eight. They need funds for church building, the
Chief is prepared to give land for the church and clinic or
drug store. There are 17 villages under Chief of the Village
called Lonto.
Please join us to
help reach and win these precious SOULS TO THE LORD.
The pastors only
need $50 for monthly support and bicycles to reach and minister
to their people.
We return to Accra
on June 1st very tied due to the condition of the roads
in the northern part of Ghana.
Pastor Michael group
left on June 5th..Dr Gainer and His team. Dr Gainer, his
wife and Sister Harris arrived the same day that pastor Michael
group left .They were here for eleven days, teaching in the
school. Dr Gainer came mainly to help our people to develop
their God given talents through his Macro-micro enterprise Development
.The workshop was organized on June 7th, seven churches were represented with over
150 people in attendance. The program gave ‘real hope to our
people and it has helped them to realize what they can do with
what they have .The people have agreed to start with Poultry
Project to be followed by Bakery Project. Others are already
producing Greeting Card. Dresses making, Real estate development
and Peanut Butter .We than the Lord for Dr Gainer, pray with
us for our people to develop these business to be able to support
the Lord’s work. This is Dr Gainer’s goal and ours too.
BIPS and BIPS SEC/TECH:
Praise the Lord
for the new enrollment in the Bible school, we had three new
students in May.
We are also expecting
the five men-helping brothers Peter in the Northern Ghana to
come in October for training . We are also getting Enquirer
from Nigeria and Pakistan. The Web site is producing result,
pray for sponsors for the students. The High School has 46 student
but this number can quadruple or triple in September if we are
able to do the concrete work on the New Building. At the moment
the work is at a stand still due to lack of funds, we need $12,000
for the remaining four rooms. Even $3000 can do one more classroom
to give us three classrooms for this fall.
Please those who
still have the Coin Cards can you send them in; "for little
is much when God is in it" (current status of the building
is enclosed) We still need sponsors for six of the nine orphan
students in our school, at present we are sharing our little
support with them.

STATES AND SCHOOL FOR DEBORAH:

for the Lord to provide for her fees, she will also be going
for her student Visa on July 7th pray that all will go well for her. Pray
also for a permanent base for housing and vehicle for our travel.
