NORTHERN GHANA UPDATE - 8 March 2006

Dear Brethren;

This is an update on the ministry in northern Ghana.

During our visit to the north last year I encouraged the brethren to put up permanent structures for the churches.

When we went back this past February, the Namu church (Fellowship Baptist Church) started their building and this past week they send this picture below to me.

The Namu church  now need iron sheets and wood  to roof the 40ft x25ft building. The total cost  $400.  that is,  $240 for 60 pieces of  iron sheet. $160  for wood. This need is very urgent because the rainy season is about to begin. And the clay bricks can be washed away. Pray with us.

Bro. James Kitinyan is the pastor of  this church.

The completion of this church  will be a real testimony for the church planting effort in northern Ghana.

Pray for the following churches that also need buildings:

  • Grace Baptist Church, Kpadjai.  Bro. Moses .  Leader.

  • Emmanuel Baptist Church, Beposo, Bro. Job . Leader.

  • Trinity Baptist Church,  Beposo. Bro. Timothy. Leader.

  • Chamba Baptist Church. Bro. Peter. Pastor.

  • Sabungida Baptist Church, Bro. John, Leader.

The following are still in fellowship or Bible study stages:

  • Kapito Fellowship, Stephen leader

  • Lonto Fellowship, James of Namu is helping this group.

Namu  and  Lonto is about 18 miles apart. Most of the churches are between 15 miles to 35 miles apart.

We are planning to go to the north next month to help roof the Namu church. Please let us know if you will like to help.

God bless you all,

In His Grace for His Glory,  Noah Quarshie (pastor)
