Dearly Beloved;

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” Phil.4:19

New Year Greetings in our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ’s Name. What a unique time to live and an awesome privilege we have as co-laborers in the Lord’s service.

Shipment From CMTS Inc:

We praise the Lord for ushering us into the year 2006.

We have been pre-occupied with arrangements to clear the items that were sent to us from CMTS Inc, in Pennsylvania. After some problems with the shipping line and Ghana customs we got the items out. The shipment comprised of a Ford truck, A Toyota Previa, a Fork Lift, used engines and used clothing.

We praise the Lord for bringing Rev. & Mrs. Andy & Nancy Merrick to Ghana last year to better understand the Ministry here. Without the Fork Lift we would not have been able to unload the items that were send. The Ford Truck was meat to be used as water tanker.

This will greatly help us with water problem at the school, the church, our home and the community we are serving in. We sent some of the used clothing to the brethren in Northern Ghana. To God be the Glory. Many thanks to Rev. & Mrs. Merrick and all the CMTS Staff. (See pictures of the items below).

Arrival of Mr. Paul Bowers and our Building Project:

We informed you in our December 2005 Newsletter that Mr. & Mrs. Bowers were coming to help with the laying of the Tiles in our New School Building. Well, Mrs. Bowers could not make it. Mr. Bowers arrived on the 18th of January.

He was a real God SENT. Little did we know that Bro. Bowers was not only coming to help lay floor tires but he would help fix our vehicles and drive us to our outreach in Northern Ghana. His one Month was gone like one week.

The Tiles have been laid, for which we thank the Lord, Bro. Bowers and all those who gave.

Bro. Paul Bowers was an answer to many of our prayers. It is our prayer that he comes back very soon. Pray with us that the Lord will send us more helpers like Bro. Bowers.

Pray with us for funds to complete the electrical, plumbing, outside plastering and painting. We need funds for Toilet seats, lighting, and 100 bags of cement for outside plastering. $4000 to $5000 will do, and then we will start with the block work for the next floor. Please, the Coin Cards are needed.

There was also a problem with the school fence wall on the east side. The city authorities have finally understood our position and allowed us to build the fence wall. (Below are pictures of the School building and wall).

Trip to Northern Ghana and Baptismal Service:

A group of nine left Accra for Northern Ghana on Thursday February 9th, including Bro. Bowers. Half way to the North our Driver said he didn't think our Dodge Van could go any further. Bro. Bowers offered to drive and to everyone’s amazement he was able to drive us to the North. On the 11th, we met with the chief of the Village and his elders who were concerned about the operation of the Clinic. We agreed that they gave us two people from the Village to be trained to give First Aid for the mean time. Pray that this arrangement will work well. On the 12th we had a joint service with the three villages. After interviewing the candidates, 18 out of 25 were qualified to be baptized. We went to the Lake and I was assisted by one of our School graduates who is now pastoring the Door of Faith Baptist Church in Accra to baptize the 18. After Dinner we travelled 20 miles to Namu to pick up the their candidates to join the next village, also 19 miles away. We got to Namu about 5:00pm.

So by the time we got to the next village the brethren had gone to their homes but the pastor waited for us. We went to the Lake about 6:30pm to baptize the brethren from Namu. We Had 10 out of 15 qualify for baptism. The rest will have to wait for the next baptism. Because we could not get two other villages to join, the total number baptized was 28. We are hoping to get back before this summer to baptize the rest.

Pray with us that we can change the engine in our Dodge Van to be able to travel to the North again. Eventually we will have to get a New Bus for this outreach ministry.

We praise the Lord for Mr. Bowers willingness to drive. His driving also helped us save time at the various check points on our roads. We were able to install a solar lighting system for one of the Local Chiefs who have been hosting our guests from the USA in his village guest house. We need good 12Volt batteries and solar panels. pray for this chief’s salvation.

We returned to Accra on the 14th and Bro. Bowers left for the States on the 16th.

BIPS Re-open, Pastoral New Year School March 20-24th:

The Bible school has reopened with most of the students taking evening classes. We have scheduled our annual New Year school from the 20th to 24th March. The Village pastors will come down to Accra.

Pray for a blessed time in the WORD. And safety in travel.

The Quarshie's Family:

The Lord added another Year to my life on the 3rd of this month. My family and the church organized a birthday and Thanksgiving service on the 5th. It was a time of praises and rejoicing for me at 60. Bro. Bowers joined us by preparing an American Style Barbecue chicken for the day. To God alone be the glory.

Be in prayer for Debbie and Enoch - for the Lord to provide for their education.
