WELCOME TO GRACE BAPTIST MISSION GHANA
Welcome to the Grace Baptist Mission's mission statement. On this page you will find what is listed in the directory below.
What's On This Page:
WHAT IS GRACE BAPTIST MISSION GHANA?In 1982, Dr. Durance Bartholomew was greatly burdened for the people of Ghana through the vision of Rev. Noah Quarshie. The ministry of Out-Reach Ministries (ORM) was then begun to help the church in Ghana to reach her own people for Christ. One major ministry of Out-Reach has been the provision of Bibles to new believers world wide. Grace Baptist Mission-Ghana (GBM-G) is a subsidiary of ORM, Inc. and Shalom Indigenous Foundation,(SIF) our Ghanaian counterpart. The Mission is established to meet a specific need, i.e. to make a significant contribution in the advancement of the gospel in Ghana through the training of nationals for the establishment and growth of strong Bible centered and Christ centered churches with a duel emphasis on evangelism and teaching. We desire to place emphasis upon reaching churches who believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in the scriptures. We will be concentrating on Ghana with the aim of sending missionaries from Ghana to other countries. This is a bi-racial missionary agency, so we intend to recruit and send forth missionaries without regard to race, color or national background. Our cause: God Glorified in Ghana
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?Grace Baptist Missions-Ghana believes:
Also Articles of Faith by Noah Quarshie
WHERE WE ARE?Grace Baptist Mission-Ghana is currently ministering in Ghana, West Africa, working through Shalom Indigenous Foundation. The College and the high school are located on a beautiful 5.4-acre campus. It is two miles from the Accra International Airport and one and half miles from the Atlantic Ocean. The Shalom Foundation also has a 40-acre farmland, twenty miles from the capital Accra. The Lord has provided these excellent facilities for the ministry.
WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?To make the Gospel known to Ghana. Our main thrust is to train nationals for the establishment and growth of strong Bible centered and Christ centered churches with the dual emphasis on evangelism and teaching. As the well-known evangelist and educationist, Dr. Bob Jones, Sr. put it, "To the Christian there is no difference between the secular and the sacred - all ground is holy ground, every bush is a burning bush." This conviction is the motivating force of GBM-G and SIF, as we seek to train not only pastors and other Christian workers for the church, but strong Christians for positions of leadership in business, in government, in industry, in education and other fields of endeavor. "Doing whatsoever your hands find to do as unto the Lord" The chief end of man is to glorify God. It also requires obedience and faithfulness.
OPPORTUNITIES:We believe the field is the World. We are praying for the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into His harvest. We are looking for prayer and financial support, sponsors for the students and youth clubs. Internationals cannot comprehend that pastoral students can be supported for only $75.00 per month for tuition of $900.00 for the whole three year program. The tuition is $300.00 per trimester. Perhaps you would consider partnering with a Ghanaian student in this excellent educational opportunity. We long for and pray for the day, if the Lord tarries, when we shall minister on every country on the continent of Africa. We have started a high school to train our youth. We believe that they are the future leaders of Africa and must be reached while they are young for Christ. We need a principal for this school. We also need workers who have Bible Institute or Bible College training. We need those with Masters or Doctors degrees and we need a Dean for the College. We need Evangelists for the Church planting and workers with farm knowledge to help on the mission farm. Yes, we can use short-term missionaries. We need leaders who love challenge and venture with God’s vision of a lost and dying world, with a tender heart, willing hands, a servant spirit and above all, a love for God and the lost, poor, suffering and needy people of Africa and the World. Write to us about the many opportunities for service in the Lord’s vineyard. “Lift up your eyes and look on the fields that are white already for harvest”.
